Also known as compression ignition engines, or CI, diesels help power hospitals, drilling and mining equipment, locomotives, ships, power stations, and more. The advancements in diesel engine technology have made the effectiveness of the shade-tree mechanic obsolete.
Additionally, the increasingly stringent requirements on the control of diesel emissions drive a growing demand for skilled diesel technicians, formally trained in all aspects of diesel engine technology of today, and tomorrow.
